With over 18 years of experience, I am an expert in breeding Cavaliers. I have a deep understanding of their temperament, behavior, and health needs, which allows me to produce high-quality puppies that make great pets. I adhere to the highest standards when it comes to breeding Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. I only breed dogs that are healthy, happy, and have the best possible temperament. I also follow strict guidelines to ensure that my facilities and breeding practices are ethical and responsible.
I pride myself on breeding Cavaliers that are not only healthy and sweet tempered, but beautiful to look at as well. Looking into the large, soulful, dark-brown eyes of a lovely new puppy simply takes my breath away.
I breed a few litters of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels each year as a hobby. I keep a few select pups for myself to show, and others I sell as pets to approved homes with a spay/neuter agreement. My dogs are bred to be outstanding representatives of the AKC breed standard with an emphasis on healthy bloodlines. I conduct extensive health screenings and genetic testing to ensure that my puppies are free of any hereditary diseases or conditions. I also provide my dogs with the best possible care, including proper nutrition, exercise, and socialization.
I am committed to providing the best possible care for my dogs. My puppies are raised in a loving and nurturing environment, and I work closely with new owners to ensure that they have all the information and support they need to provide the best possible care for their new pet. I am committed to breeding quality, healthy Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. All of my dogs and puppies live in the house with me (and yes, they do sleep on the bed!). My dogs run, play and socialize daily in my safe and spacious backyard.
Whether you choose to bring a Legend Cavalier into your home, or to get one from another trusted breeder, I encourage you to research your choice. A healthy puppy is a happy puppy. Doing your homework now could save you immeasurable heartache and thousands of dollars in unnecessary veterinarian bills.
In 2004, a dear friend, Cindy, arrived at my Ocala Florida horse farm with a pair of darling Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies in tow. It was my first encounter with the breed, and I was immediately mesmerized by their sweet expression and the lovely colors of their shiny coats. Cindy unexpectedly thrust them both into my arms, and the pups instantly nuzzled into the crook of my neck and showered me with kisses as if I were a long lost friend. I was hooked! I absolutely had to have one, so I made finding quality showing and breeding stock my "mission impossible" for the next year or so. Since I had spent the prior 20 years breeding Thoroughbred race horses, showing and breeding Cavalier King Charles Spaniels was a natural continuation along my path.
I was so very lucky to find a long-time breeder with exceptionally healthy bloodlines who trusted in me and agreed to sell me one of her champion bloodline pups with the agreement that she would become my mentor. We remain close friends to this day.
Welcome to my newly updated website. To my regular followers, the pages of Legend Cavaliers may look a little different than before, but that's because I've learned a lot since I began breeding and showing Cavalier King Charles Spaniels in Florida back in 2005, and I want to share it all with you in a format that is educational, fun and easy to follow.
These new pages contain a lot of current information and answers to common questions I've received throughout the years, along with links and references. My Puppy Training Manual is now available online, and I also have made a section for all the "Good Stuff" every Cavalier owner needs to have.
Whether you're new to the breed or have known the joy and adoration a Cavalier can bring into your life, my intention is to make the pages of Legend Cavaliers a handy reference guide for all Cavalier enthusiasts, with information and tips on caring for your new cavalier puppy. Your questions are always welcome, so please feel free to contact me at any time.
If you come to me for a Cavalier you probably already understand that you are not just buying a pet, you are adding a family member to your household. With the proper care and guidance, your puppy will be with you for many years to come. To this end, I promise to be available to every new puppy owner with 24/7 mentoring and support for the life of the dog.
You will receive all off the manuals I have created with plenty of information on everything from housebreaking, vaccinations, grooming, health, training, diet and exercise, and much more.

Showing dogs is a very competitive sport It is not easy to win unless your dog has all of the qualities deemed important by the strict AKC judging guidelines.
